Time Crash is fun like woah. Beard joke made my day. And I love the line about his younger incarnations emphasizing their age and gravity. But it isn't canon. Maybe it's a close AU, but it's probably not canon.

1) We saw that sequence of events at the end of series 3, and that didn't happen.

2) If Ten remembers these events from being Five, he'd know of the Master's continued existence and about him having married, both of which visibly shocked Ten.

3) If these events generate a previous awareness in Five, which alters his ensuing behavior, then the events of Ten's life dependent on the Master would have changed due to his new awareness.

4) The emotional tone of the sequence is off for having just finished dealing with Martha in the previous scene. Even for Ten, whose ability to hide pain is like my mom's ability to hide clothes she thinks make me look fat, the blase treatment of the previous year seems off,

5) If I take it that this did happen, and the loop closed, did it ever happen for either of them?

6) I'm not taking 'wibbly-wobbly' as an answer to the above logistical problems, unless it's accompanied by a working explanation as to these concerns.

FYI, I have had far too much to drink this evening.

And I watched a production of "I Am My Own Wife" tonight. Quite good. Apparently the Stasi (East German secret police) kept scent files for 6 million of their citizens (out of 16 million total citizens). They would smear a bit of cloth, secretly, on the suspect to capture the scent and store them individually. They trained a fleet of dogs for the eventuality of searching out these dissidents when necessary. The logistics of this boggle me. How do you isolate and preserve these scents, preventing their inter-bleeding? How do you collect and store so many samples? Also it's creepy.
