Apr. 12th, 2005 11:48 pmTalked to Molly, my little sister, and Zack, my little cousin, today. Molly's freaking because of APs, she has to do 3 portfolio pieces in 15 days in addition to all her AP world work, so I agreed to do some of her non test-related busy work while she crams. Yay for the collaborative educational experience.
Poor kid had her first interview for a paper and came off as a total ass. A mix of injudicious quotage on her part (though is WAS her first interview, it's not like she knew to be self-effacing Willow rather than Al Gore, quoth Sarah Vowell) and ass-holish attempts on the Rock reporter's part to draw character difference between her and the 'meek, angelic, girly geniuses' Leah and Lauren. It really doesn't surprise me Stover would let this shit go down, with no attempt to be an adult and enforce basic standards against not quoting out of/without popper context. Ameena and Meg defending her aside I still despise that woman and the years I spent with her, and the fact that Rock is consistently best in state is due more to lack of firm competition and indefatigable students than the leadership skillz of Robin 'do my shoes match?' Stover.
Zach and I agreed that the three of us should do something, since I have to come back before May 5 to get my driver's license renewed and Mom wants to celebrate my birthday then. I think Zach means something involving the three of us and copious amounts of alcohol, which isn't necessarily a problem, but is still amusing. He and I both agree that Molly is freaking way too hardcore about school right now and needs to get laid something awful, but we know of no suitable lesbian hotties, le sigh.
I have to buy my younger cousin Andrew, Zach's brother, something for his birthday.
Happy Dia de Silencio tomorrow. It's that time again, when Erin shuts up from waking until five. That magical time. Danny and Annie are joining me in the effort. Ah, the sweet smell of virginity. Like toast, in a way...
