And I am a writer,
writer of fictions,
I am the heart that you call home.
And I've written pages upon pages
trying to rid you from my bones.
I am writer,
I am all that you have hoped of.
And I've written pages upon pages
trying to rid you from my bones,
my bones, my bones.
And if you don't love me, let me go.
And if you don't love me, let me go.

I am amused that I now don't own only 3 commercially released Decemberists songs. 'Oceanside,' 'Angel, Won't You Call Me?' and 'I Don't Mind.' And all on the same EP, '5 Songs'. But I would feel silly buying something for three songs when I already have the other three on the EP (yeah, six songs total, the lying whores).
So Jenny gave me their brand new CD for an early birtday present. She also burned me Scarlet's Walk, Tales of a Librarian (still missing Under the Pink and To Venus and Back), Wilco's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, The Shins' Oh, Inverted World, the Bend it Like Beckham soundtrack, Lennon Legend: The Very Best of John Lennon, and a Happy Birthday Mix of Wonders. The absolute maddest of props to Jenny. Without her, Kayta, Ammena and Danielle, I should never have discovered many an awesome group.
We celebrate on my birthday here in Iowa on April 18th, properly, and I would LOVE good ideas about what to do/where people want to go. My mom always helps with the tab for my Birthday Dinner, so be wanton!
I'm so lazy today. I took Molly to school and Meghan to the orthodontist, drove up here, and just slept for hours. La.
German in an hour- not a quiz or anything today, so am going despite the boring-ness of the prospect and the near-certainty of having to put off Joshua's rather elegantly posed invitations to do stuff. I actually have to admire his craft at it-- he knows what he wants, which is deeply attractive, but he's not obviously comming on, he's determined and persistant without becomming silly or irritating (I can think of like, four occasions on which he's invited me for stuffs). It's not that he's a bad guy, but Nixon is (serriously) one of his three favorite presidents and he doesn't have a good reason for it, etc.
He's... I don't know. If I'd met him last year I would have deff. given him a chance. But that's in the Columbia Man Market, which is notably defficient (with the exception of some trully fine men of my acquaintence). Maybe I should give him more of a chance than one coffee-date? I feel like such an ass weaseling around just telling him no, but just telling people 'no' seems so horribly rude, and it's not like I lead him on. Eh. Not a huge problem.
Oooh, and I got three new H&M outfits from my mom and siter's stop in New York on Molly's art school search. You should see this dress, I'm deeply in lust with it, and the skirt and pants outfits aren't too bad either.
I laid you down in the grass of a clearing
you wept, but your soul was willing

we fall but our souls are flying
