In Mexico, I saw lots of cool museums/murals/palaces/temples, and waaaaaaay too much of my family. They dragged me with them and gave me no privacy at all. To quote Kim, my stepfather: "I think there's less crime in Mexico city because I see fewer black people." Me: "Hey Grande Gringo, back in the colonial era this place was 80% indigenous, 10% Spanish and 10% black. Thus a LOT of the people here are what you might call mulatto. You coulnd't work for years to say anything stupider or more offensive!" Kim:... Shuttup! And the worst part is, he said in in a boat on the floating gardens, in FULL HEARING of the english speaking boatmen, TO our English speaking indigenous tour guide.

I really wanted to push him off the boat.

Oh, and later... Kim: We should just make Iraq the fifty first state! He tried to tell me that Hollywood is controlled by a Jewish Conspiracy. Me: "I'm an eighth Jewish. When do I get in on my one-eighth of the action?"

He's a lawyer. A SUCCESSFUL one.

I sometimes question whether my life is an elaborately staged situation comedy. I mean, Kim, at times, is just unreal

I really feel terrible for you. But I can understand.. my father, quaint as he is has an utterly delusion view of the world.

I can't begin to tell you how glad that I am that my mom left him.

But at least you are old enough not to be cognizant of his irrationality (not that I actually know how old you are -- but you seem to be an intellectual maturity).

I truly haven't got a clue.. but I think I'm on the short side of information here.

While writing this, I had a sudden image that you might be very young (like a brillant little Owen Meany).. but truthfully my image is roughly around seventeen or so.
