I invented Post-Its!! (R&MHSR forever)
Jan. 18th, 2012 05:31 pmScarlet is astounded!
NIGHT BEFORE LAST:
--cleared Did column
--http://nymag.com/arts/all/features/16315/
--talked to Katy and Robert a bit about Shalka shit
--read about the Lana Del Rey SNL crash
--listened to more of her music
--talked to Meg
--tidied up To Do
--downloaded new itunes (for compatibility with phone)
--talked to Robert about unlocking my phone, getting a UK sim in, getting a more compatible OS for it, and internet issues
--got him to install the OS (more later)
YESTERDAY:
--wrote Farah about seminar
--wrote Jo L
--cleaned room
--made big updated Linked In profile in case that gives me new business contacts
--read news
--edited Jon’s ‘expression of interest’ for grad programs
--exercised cat
--listened to Shalka auditions
--argued with stupid Danny
--talked to Katy about email to head of music for Shalka
--talked to Katy about other various Shalka shit
--wrote post
--took drugs and got to sleep on time, but after only having been awake like 11 hours
TODAY:
--got up at like 8 to reset sleep schedule
--took bus downtown
--dropped off computer
--went to bank, got print out of account activity--over the visa minimum, good
--went through transaction record for any unusual activity--no, and everyone had paid utilities on time, but discovered Barclays charges a sneaky and weirdly credited £5 a month fee for the privelege of having an international student account
--had chat with bank employee about the different, FREE types of account I can get with either subsequent visa
--realized I’d forgotten the books I wanted to return--fuck :( I’ll do it Friday when I’m around anyway.
--picked up computer (new back screws, new top case)
--convinced Mac I DID NOT owe them £100 pounds after harrowing discussions in which they also implied my battery was broken (it was just powered down and the girl’s English wasn’t great)
--edited Jon’s cover letter
--talked to Amy & Nadja
--looked at Brianna’s comments on her draft, responded to all the ones that I could, sent two to b/c they pertained to her edits
--read news
--looked into Brit Museum curatorial position, talked to Katy about what’d it involve for us, living-situation-wise
--made dinner reservations re: the anniversary gift certificates I got Katy ages ago
--forwarded Lucy documents from the landlady
--talked to people who sold Kitchenaid
--looked up prices/logistics of returning/exchanging (my dad would apparently be inconsolably sad if I returned, says mom) it by hand (versus using a courier)
--looked into what else is even around Cheltenham, if I did that--I think the bus would be through the Cotswold Way? That could be nice? Difficult without wiki today, had to resort to http://www.cheltweb.co.uk/cotswold.htm
--figured out my total expenditure for a year (taxes, utilities, housing, food, all expenses) at current rates for budgetary purposes
--loaded iphone with music
--brought emails from 40 to 14
