The One With Swine Flu.

Remember Heather's party Friday? She sure does. It got real when Nick tested positive for h1n1: everyone there /not/ named Erin has Swine Flu. NO ONE you know ever gets the scary fad-diseases, but here we are. Pity them, because it sounds wretched. Amy and I's work week of ultimate destiny is postponed until next week, when she's out of her self-imposed quarantine. Meanwhile I've been creeping myself out by looking at the wiki page for the 1918 pandemic.

How did I, with MY immune system, not get this, though? We were all at the same party: we all drank from the same shot glass, smoked from the same pipe, and ate from the same bag of chips. Perhaps I've got the flu equivalent of the mutated form of gene CCR5/"delta 32" that prevented people from contracting Black Plague and HIV? Oooor perhaps I'll get sick tomorrow.
