They do cook them, in a lot of different ways. Grilling, frying, steaming (<--DO NOT WANT). With a spritz of lemon and seasonings and stuff, yet. Apparently if you're of a very "unjudgmental of what you put in your mouth" type, they're pretty damn good.

I, um, no. Not me, thanks. Have a good dinner, Thai people! Keep those suckers away from the rest of civilization and we'll all be happy!

I generally consider myself a pretty low-key, willing to try new foods kind of girl: then one of the Colombian boys suggested they might stir-fry these, and I thought SWEET MOTHER OF GOD SHRIMP LO MEIN MIGHT WELL HAVE THIS IN and got v. v. unhappy. ...though I know Lo Mein's not even Thai, still. O_O
