Verb the Noun!
Feb. 11th, 2007 12:41 pmMy grandmother and I were trying to find a movie we could watch in theaters, and she asked me what Stomp the Yard was about, and as I started to explain we realized how many movies were exactly the same as Drumline/Bring it On/Center Stage/Those Spelling Bee Movies, etc. Some follow the convient title formula, Enter the Fist, Searching for (the) Bobby Fischer, Stomp the Yard, Save the Last Dance, so on. "We so poor, but man, we can stomp! We got underprivlidged stomp SOUL!" Grandma summarized.
We craved a truly exciting athletic competition film. "In the war our family lost everything. Everything but my extensive collection of fabrege eggs! And I learned to juggle them. By Jove I was good!" Quoth my grandma.
"I'm jugglin' danger!"
