So when you wash a wool and silk skirt: it shrinks: And when you do it repeatedly b/c dry cleaing in Iowa costs roughly the yearly GDP of Lichtenstein, it REALLY shrinks. Say to the extent that you could get it on over your boobs in the morning and then not be able to remove it in the afternoon despite a prolongued jumping up and down. And it's just possible that Ivy House lacks a good pair of readily findable sharp scissors.

I mean, you COULD wash crap by hand, but you've got so much crap. And...well, I don't wash crap by hand because I'm lazy. Yeah. Or laying flat, but that wouldn't take care of washer damage on some of the finer fabrics of the....wardrobe. I'm just going to shut up now.
