So when you wash a wool and silk skirt: it shrinks: And when you do it repeatedly b/c dry cleaing in Iowa costs roughly the yearly GDP of Lichtenstein, it REALLY shrinks. Say to the extent that you could get it on over your boobs in the morning and then not be able to remove it in the afternoon despite a prolongued jumping up and down. And it's just possible that Ivy House lacks a good pair of readily findable sharp scissors.
I'm going to live out my days and die in this fucking H&M skirt.
That's not even a real designer! I'm going to die like a poor person! A fat Yank poor person! Cocooned in a death shroud of shrunken felted wool!
*sigh* I'm pretty sure there was a Blakes 7 episode like this.
*edit*
There totally was... either The Web, or Orac? Dammit, can't recall... It was all white goo or some bullshit a la Shelob. Damn you Terry Nation, for articulating my pain and thus making it all the sharper.
*edit 2*

*Edit 3*
HahahahahahahaHA! STEAK KNIFE! BITCH!

*Edit 4*
