I have spent my entire life ducking out of photos only to be sad that there is so little record now of me having fun with my friends and growing up and such. I can't believe I care more about looking like my face is too spherical or looking fat that that I remember the places I was, things and people I loved. I need to stop caring that I'm so unphotogenic!

Heh, I've had the same problem, I'm one ugly fuck so I always avoided it. Well, that and because I didn't want a record of me around, y'know, in case I had an angsty teenage fit and really did kill myself. LOL!

I still mostly avoid pictures though.

well y'know, I was like 15-16 and thought I knew everything.

I was also REALLY angsty so I wanted to "erase" myself. Good god I was a fucking moron back then. Of course I look at myself in more recent months and realize I'm still kind of a douchebag, even if it's for different reasons.

It's wierd how prevalent the desire to erase one's past is in people. Cause I deff. wanted to remove all memory of my youth at that age, and look at the real-life examples, like Stalin, who systematically destroyed the town he'd grown up in, or Hitler, who razed his home-village to the ground. What makes us at some stage in our lives find that appealing, just general angstyness?

That would be an interesting topic for discussion, I'd say there is probably something deeper in that.
