Aussie friend Alex: " "The company appears to embrace the camp name by retaining the tagline from the 1980s, "It's hard to have a Gaytime on your own". " Oh streets. Stay classy." Not just a hilarious name, but "toffee and vanilla ice-cream dipped in chocolate and wrapped in honeycomb biscuits". Australian/NZ only?! Nooooooooo!! Golden Gaytime whyyyyyyyy?!

In my cake news, Alex said something kind of heart-stopping.

Alex: but yeah no I brought it up just cos Gen's bday cake was this like, honeycomb sponge thing
and the outside was /covered in golden gaytime crumbs/
it was heaven in my mouth
"Honey Mousse Vanilla Sponge with honey flavoured fresh cream & custard combination. "
froommm the website
http://takethecakecanberra.com.au/CakeDescription.aspx
they had like .... I think it was a dark, rich chocolate on Gen's
just drizzled over

So what if I made vanilla sponge cakes and mouse like this: http://www.bakespace.com/recipes/detail/Vanilla-Honey-Mascarpone-Mousse/8482/ , maybe a home-made egg custard layer (English custard)? Idk. And then the outside is frosted with subtle honey icing, and then there are toffee crumbs? It seems like you could drizzle caramel as well as dark chocolate over that... the toffee/honeycomb crumbs will be the hardest (might sacrifice a few Crunchie Bars to the cause), but I think I'm totally going to try this.

For Halloween, I hope to finish this: http://www.doctorwhoscarf.com/pattern1.php

Can I knit?

Sort of. ish?

How will I possibly finish such a ginormous project in time?

I watch a lot of movies, attend a few classes, and will soon probably have a job reading essays. I multitask.

Where will you get the rest of the complicated costume ingredients?

Okay, how embarasing is it to realize I already own all of the costume elements and wear them regularly? Pretty humiliating. This show is like What Not To Wear, without the advice and the improvement.

How long did it take you to decide on the Series 12 scarf?

...it may or may have been like 45 minuites.

Why not just buy the goddamn thing?

I am so poor that I tried to put change into my own empty coffee cup today before I experienced a Lacanian mirror stage.

When will you stop making pointless French phsycoanalytic jokes?

*sigh* When I stop finding them funny.
