So the holes are of varying sizes, and cover the pumpkin entirely. It was a technical challenge to make them all (I used a kabob skewer and a screw to make many small holes and a pencil to push them out) and still have structural stability, but I liked the visual effect. As a side note, the English climate and the porous quality of the pumpkin meant this rotted FAST. This picture is taken after it was a bit far-gone, and I had to er, hold up the poor bugger for the shot. Gross.
