Okay, so my big 18th birthday to cheer myself up after every college rejects me fast approaches. April 18th, kids. Depending on the scale of the event, I have several sizing options. My main problem is, I can't decide on what we should do/the level of formality/where we should go. Everything from running around Kansas City with a few people to Chicago with even fewer (like, two)to going to my house to chill (lame-o) to dinner out to Something Else is in the bag. PLEASE help me pick something!
Operating on the premise that the parties will be, for my mom's sanity's sake, and that I will get my party on w/ Steven some other time (he promises to liqeur me up and such), all famale, the following is The Breakdown. Please tell me if any part of the list is offensive to you, and I'll try to work around it. I swear to god, my birthday will be drama-free at all costs. Now if only I know what to do for it...
Small Party Necessities (in no particular order):
Kelley Kullman, Heather Gibson, Sally McKibben, Amy Williams, Jenny Dine, Megan Vohs
Slightly Larger- Add:
Danielle Fletcher, Ameena Mohammed, Leah Swaney, Kate
Slightly Larger- Add: Emily Ross, Naomi Dickerson, Kayta Brady, Laura Kessel, Molly Horak
Blowout Proportions- Add: Feaza Kahn (junior), Melissa Chitwood, Guiliana, Pam Peters, Jessica Pierce, Charvell, Laura Weisman
Those of you who read this are first tier, so feel free to advise me about what kind of party goes down and who you want on and off the list. (Swaney can't come, and no boyfriends at this stage. Sorry.)This is a cooperative effort, so... I dunno, cooperate...
Once again, I'm aware, I'm obsessing over one paltry social event. Yeah, I know it's sad. Get over it.

Date: 2004-03-07 10:12 pm (UTC)Kansas City sounds nice also though... The Plaza is a great place to spend a day shopping.
One plan of action: On Saturday the 17th take kel, heather, jenny, sallie, megan, and amu to kansas city. Then take them back to your lovely home for the night. On Sunday, the big day!, we'll all head over to shakespeares for a group pizza lunch thing. (I lose coherancy when I'm tired...) Or you could switch the two days. Much fun.
By the way... Is there anything you would like for your birthday?

Date: 2004-03-08 06:09 pm (UTC)Drama-free birthdays. Hah. Birthdays don't come in that flavor -- they just come in mild tizzy; teenage angst; and drunken stupor.
Happy proto-birthday. Perhaps I shall get you a present this year that doesn't arrive three months after the fact.

Date: 2004-03-09 08:17 pm (UTC)Sarah, if you can smuggle your no account self away from school and into a suitcase of some poor sapp flying to MO and come, I will get on my knees and blow the pilot of the plane as a form of bribery for your free passage. Happy? (I won't be held to that...)
Besides, last yr's Bday present from you was, like, cool enough for five years. I mean, oh my god. He TOUCHED it. And drew me a wolf-thingie!!!
You know Amu, that idea is really fucking cool. But I want to see if it's nice enough to do it outdoors, or if mum will lend me one of our houses for the night. Still, the general plan is awesome!
