A/N:

I decided to get over my friend-ing shyness and thus have added [livejournal.com profile] anachia and [livejournal.com profile] jrandomlurker to my flist. I had a sort of mini-correspondence with Anachia earlier over how her fic was tres awesome, but didn't keep it up properly because I am ridiculously forgetful and a terrible heel like that. Anyway- she's talented, funny, v. sweet girl. I am in semi-awe of Jrandom, who writes some damn fine fic. I figured if [livejournal.com profile] nacilmeiel and I were going to actually start our zimfic co-writing adventure, I needed some superb literary antecedents. Plus, she has v. solid film reviews, and seems quite nice, from what limited contact I've had with her:

Me: Your fic rocks so hard, diamonds lack its tensile strength.
J: Why yes, yes they do.

H and the P's were awesome in concert. The undulating body motions, the intensity, the way I felt so monumentally embarrassed for them I couldn't stop blushing despite being in a room full of geeks- I absolutely loved it. I bought both CDs, with the help of Amu remembering to bring cash- I still owe you $15, my dear- and listened to them on the drive home. A fangirl, also named Erin, was really sweet, and there was Kinship with re: to our mutual nerdiness. She invited us over to her place to watch 'Wizard People, Dear Readers' which was hilarious.

She was putting the Potters up for the night, so it was with groupie-ish excitement that we Partied with the Potters (Hung out is probably the more appropriate term). The piccie on the webpage may be foggy, but the younger one? V. cute. I was too self-conscious to really start up a conversation with either (though the younger one seemed to have an excellent sense of humor). The older, however, knows what sweetbreads are. He and I explained this to the other Erin [livejournal.com profile] sweetevangeline (who was also flisted on account of general neatness), who was horrified. I had to wake up at bloody five, and drive straight back to Iowa City, and go to class at ten. A world of yuck.

I’m now compiling my crib sheet for final tomorrow. I’m not super worried. I feel like I will have wasted my time up here if I don't get an A or B, however, because I'm aiming for transfer-worthy grades, but however I perform (and I haven't the SLIGHTEST idea, oddly) I will have gotten a tedious, stupid class out of the way, and gotten my self one requirement closer to graduation- and how can I argue with that?

I have cleaned my yahoo mail from 56 in the inbox to five (That is the proper punctuation, isn’t it? Anything above 20 gets numbers, below gets spelled out, or so I think). Hot-damn, I am a slick, sassy efficiency machine.

Hey, that sounds awesome! Hanging with the Potters, that is, in spite of the fact that I have absolutely no idea who they are? Will you burn me some of their music? I'm curious.

I have both cds- just remind me and will totally do. It's precious, you should totally check it out. 'Voldemort Can't Stop the Rock', for example, with midi music in the background. GREAT fun. Am back in town, so call my ass.

As Anne Case (...) pointed out to me just the other day on Cartoon Rodent Movie Night, "call my ass" is actually a synecdoche or however you spell the damn things.
