x_losDebate rages via my Trillian over who, if they ever get a movie made, as rumor suggests may occur, should play Sam Vimes. I've got nothing. The most my brain can supply is a mad fusion of Bruce Willis (his 'solid' factor), Jack Nicholson (his hommicidal grin), and Jhonny Depp (for actual acting skill/'copper'ness as displayed in 'From Hell'/likability). I am at a loss.

Any thoughts? Am actually v. curious. And what book would they do if they did it? I like Jingo best, but it's a bad place to start. I think the City Watch or Miscellaneous books would work over any others in terms of translating into film/audience understanding, but possibly one of the wizard books would be enjoyable/catch a mass audience.
