Quick, I HAZ A B_E CHALLENGE IDEA!

Name as many fanfic cliches as you can--sex pollen, mpreg, marriage, aliens made them do it, etc. Team, team, this will produce some awesome, hilarious, potentially /great/ fic. I know it in my bones.

Cliches in no particular order: Cuddling for warmth, heatwave makes them horny, hurt/comfort, christening the new car/spaceship/whatever, suddenly soulbonded (with telepathy, though that's somewhat redundant for us), forced to marry, kidfic (they get a kid/baby), kidfic (someone turns into a child), vampirefic, ghostfic (someone dies and comes back to haunt), mating season, mating for life, in prison together, cliched AUs (band, high school, hooker, etc.), stranded on a deserted island, sex under the influence (drunk, drugs), going on a vaction/holiday resort/road trip, slavefic, amnesia...

I'm not sure if they all qualify as cliches, but I've seen all of them crop up in several fandoms or fics (SGA was especially prolific here.)

Dramatic near-death confession of long-hidden affections by either possibly-dying-person or person hovering over possibly-dying-person. (The twin, as I pointed out to innocentsmith, is the dramatic confession that occurs when the possibly-dying-person is out of the woods and the whole trauma has made them acknowledge their true feelings, etc.)

Locked in the sauna/locker room/changing room/dressing room.

Handcuffed/bound/chained together!

Bodyswitching. Gender switching.
