Why 'photo'? That's kind of a weird one. Wonderwall then. You do love that one. Five. Tea. Pralines. And Austen. And kind of a lot of other things.

Hm. Does one go for something striking and unusual or a sturdy, classic compliment? Well, have a few middling ones. Telling you stupid, random things that I thought or that happened to me makes them amusing, gives things I would have just forgotten about or never happened to mention to anyone shape and context. I don't tell you something you said was really funny or exactly right in that startling 'oh, yes, of course' way near as much as I might because it would just be repetitive to tell you so every time it happened. I like that you tell me when you think I'm wrong or being lazy, that you call me on things, but are clear/articulate in your reasoning and sensibilities and never /entirely/ inflexible in the face of argument.
d) Tell you a memory I have of you.
Er, how about our tragical-magical watching of Battlefield? That was rather For the Books in terms of Tales of Great Befuddlement. Or all the times I screwed up and was late/could not find the major London landmark in question and didn't have a phone to properly call you and made you wait b/c I'm an ass? That's a lame one to balance the lameness of my dying all over your couch in your Memory.

"i love that you get cold when its 71 degrees out". if i hadn't already said yes, that probably would have done it, though i feel that you must be thinking about someone else with the articulate arguing because i thought my thing was more a but complete failure to explain anything properly.
to deviate from that point again: your brig vs. gene question reminds me that i was hit by a LoM/vintage who/new who crossover tastic idea at work today which i probably won't get done before i enter the fanfic embargo that is nanowrimo. in which sam is the master and delgado is the master and is caught by manchester CID and has to be sprung by three only to return a bi later to unfobwatch sam. i can't figure out how to write them talking to each other when both are the master though. oh the magic of television. it makes things so easy.

Doctor: *awkward golf claps, smiling with some strain b/c he's seen the turtle one at least 6 times before, but he made the mistake of expressing too much enthusiasm the first time, and now the Master thinks it's his favorite, and it's an earth animal, so why wouldn't it be? and so does it *all the time.*
But you don't actually do the 'it's just great' thing terribly much, or to the exclusion of pointing out specific /reasons/ why it's great, or specific things that are perfect--and really, what's that but the whole substance of an argument for whatever it is?
I /love/ that idea and do really want it written, but frankly if the Master can get caught and kept by CID Manchester without extenuating circumstances like Timelord Krptonite on the premessis, he deserves to be left there by Three. People with names like 'sticky fingers jo' worm their way out of Phylis's tender mercies: surely the Master can waltz out. He had better be severely wounded, for his sake, lest I loose the tattered remains of my respect for him.

e) I'm paid to be a technical writer, but I'm also writing restaurant reviews for Austinist.com, and have written comics reviews for Bookforum. I also had a longstanding column-writing gig at Bookslut.com. And then there's the two YA novel projects I have cranking in the background, and I'm also going to be submitting a Who spec script to the Austin Film Festival screenplay competition next year.
Now if only I could learn to get by on 2-4 hours of sleep a night. Not faffing around on the internets might help too...

Mostly you are my favorite. Even when we don't talk for a long span of time, it's always /easy/ to start right where we left off. I have other favorites as well, but you are infinitely the best person to come to when I'm depressed, when there's something v. complicated that I need tot talk about, or when I'm pleased about something very, very stupid. I think it's because you're clever, but you're also v. patient and able to grasp a whole messy mix of complications, and never, ever make me feel patronized.

I live in a tiny town in New Jersey.
