Blah.

It's been about four days, and I don't think it's working out with this particular cat. I'll give it a full three week trial period so it can adjust, but if at the end of it we still seem ill-matched and the cat pretty miserable, we'll have to talk to the original owner about us or him rehoming the cat. Sad, but if it's not happy, better to find it a situation where it might be. My grandmother had a cat like that which she had to give away--a little grey one that didn't particularly like her/her house/something, which she gave to a family with some kids that REALLY wanted it. I don't want to try another cat after, if this doesn't work out. Think this may be it for me and cats for several years. I always got on really well with my various cats, too.
