My mom got me speakers for my birthday. A present from my mother represents the begining of a great cycle of returning, deciding what I actually want after days of agonizing and reading customer reviews, and selecting. I know I'm picky. The Hunt began today. I'm between the JBL Creature II and the Harman Kardon Soundsticks II. The reviews for the Creature seem ever so slightly more positive, though one directly prefered the Soundsticks. Is it silly to say that I think the Soundsticks are prettier? The Creature seems sort of like it'll slink over in the night and suck my brain out through my ear. The Soundsticks aren't about that, they're sort of pudgy and happy. Plus! MOMA selected then for the industrial design exibit, which is way impressive! A friend of mine has them already, and I feel like this would be too "I mindlessly copy you, muh!" But I think I'm willing to sacrifice my pride to avoid getting my brain sucked out by that slug thing.

"Advocate Magazine interviewed Patrick Stewart, the actor who played Captain Picard on Star Trek: The Next Generation. In the interview, the interviewer commented on how some people thought that Q was gay. Patrick Stewart’s reply was: "I did.""
