For the, like, three of you who care: OMG MISTER SINISTER IS GAMBIT'S DADDY! We totally should have known. I mean, similar eyes? eh? EH?? I haven't been keeping up w/ my X-stuffs recently, and I thank Ruth for giving me the important newsflash, without which my life would be devoid of meaning.

A few nights ago Jenny and I went on a book shopping spree of doom and madness, followed by a journey to Osaka, where didn't get carded, so plum wine fun was had. Then we went to my house with Naomi, Kayta, Emily, Ameena and watched Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead, because I hadn't seen it, and Clockwork Orange, because Jenny hadn't. Kayta wheeled Naomi over the half mile from her house in a wheelchair they'd 'borrowed' from Kayta's grandmother in order to convince me that Naomi had suffered a horrible accident in college and was paraplegic now. The scheme was spoiled by their inability to get the wheelchair down the stairs. Still, A for effort guys.

Kelley and I watched Watership Down yesterday. What an AWESOME movie! She's going to lend me the book, but the animated version was scary and brilliant. Speaking of brill, we watched some old John Stewart. His coverage of Dean's latest ill-fated statement, "the republicans are a white, Christian party," was good.

Last night was Ameena's birthday party, which was fun, though I had to leave early to baby-sit and such. The other night my mom and I wanted to watch a movie together, and so we ended up with Richard III. I still love that movie, but it was kind of frustrating with mom every five minutes "So wait, she's not going to be Queen?" "No, mom, she is, with the young guy." "But I thought she was marrying Richard?" "Nooo, her mom lied." "Okay, I've been lost since, you know, the banquet scene." "Which one?" "...The first one?"

Ack, must remember to call Kayta. Ameena thinks she and Jenny and I should go to the Twilight Festival too.

What five things do you enjoy doing to help lower your stress/blood pressure/anxiety level?
Make a list, post it to your journal... and then tag 5 friends and ask them to post it to theirs.

1. Actually doing the work that stresses me out.
2. Cooking something. I don’t even have to eat it, in fact often I don’t want to when I’ve put a lot of time into it. Better if other people eat it and enjoy it.
3. A certain type of movie: extended LOTR, crap like Last Unicorn, Jeeves & Wooster, Star Trek and Star Wars- mindless comfort movies
4. Getting really absorbed in reading, coupled with TEA. SO MUCH TEA.
5. Showering. Err, I really like baths and showers. Long ones. Odd, but I feel really comforted by it. Shower so womby.
