Now that I'm rollin' in the Blakes 7, I need to find out what kind of discs to burn it all off on. I'm firguring I can get 3-4 epps on each- something says DVD rewritables, but am not sure whether that's what I really should use. I need to get that 'premeir' kel kept talking about and put appropriate breaks in it and all. I need to figure out how to make a menu. I want it to be playable in regular DVD players. I wonder if Amu wants a copy, of just me and Heather?

If anyone else craves B7, make it clear to me and it shall be yours. I need to put nice labels on the finished DVDs, make it worth it, sorta professional looking, possibly in a nice little box- I mean, these are a lot of DVDs, even one season should be a box about the size of a LOTR director's cut, with 4-5 discs within. A pretty box would be wise just in terms of storage. Wonder if I can sell coppies on EBAY? Last I saw, bootlegged American versions were going for three hundred something a pop for all the epps, and since it's never been marketed over here, I don't think it's copyright issus-rife. Any suggestions/comments on these issues from interested parties would be welcome.

I wonder if kel will ever get Schiz and I the C:KND dvds we so crave, and what the hold up is on that front. I vaguley remember her saying there was something wrong with some tech thing, but I've forgotten.

The tailor stepped out of Brennen's Clothing early today, on the day I actually remembered and got off my ass and went over there. I need these pants and shirts altered like Nathaniel Hawthorne needed someone to edit his run-on sentences. Apparently, on Monday I can hunt her down. Maybe I should iron the pieces I've worn for her first, so that measurements will be more accurate? Is their some kind of tailoring etiquette? Will you laugh at me if I say I'm sincerely tiffed that I left my colossal Emily Post's Guide to Modern Etiquette at home on the shelf, and am bereft of its consultation?

I think I royally flubbed my stat quiz today. There I sat, just sort of poking around aimlessly. My heart wasn't in it. Neither, apparently, was my brain. Partial credit, you are my saving grace.

I have come to loathe and despise this shitty excuse for an lj layout/color scheme. If any of you know where/from whom I could get one that doesn't suck with the combined sucking power of a wind tunnel and Monica L., please, do tell. This shoddy little bugger is just getting embarrassing.

The quest to read all Terry Pratchett's Night Watch books continues this summer, and when I'm done with Feet of Clay (I read them totally out of order), I'll be done. Oh, and ready to write that Vimes/Vetinari slash [livejournal.com profile] clio_the_muse winces whenever I mention. All the books except Guards, Guards, which I refuse to even open because I won't be able to stand Early!Lush!Vimes. It'd hurt too much. Plus, TP gets waaaaaay better as he goes along. Jingo is to Sorcery as FDR is to Wat Tyler (I will give you cookies if you understood that without resorting to wikipedia.org, swear to god). The difference between Early Discworld and Late Discworld, especially in terms of characterization, is so profound. I can't read the early stuff without seeing it as about the equivalent of moderately good fanfic with HUGE OOC issues.

Speaking of [livejournal.com profile] clio_the_muse, when I asked her a grammar question the other day (admittedly it was super basic, and I was a huge n00b to ask), and had to 'fess up to the fact that I'd never had a teacher who gave a damn about grammar, really, she said that she'd never had that problem. It's amazing, the intonations AIM allows. Without the use of an emoticon, I felt the same level of '...oh.' in that sentence as if she'd just said 'I've never had an issue with acute genital herpes brought on by promiscuity with donkeys.' I thus resolved to open and read my copy of "Eats, Shoots & Leaves", runaway best seller in Brittan and entirely about the niceties of grammar. That should throw a few shovels of dirt into the gaping hole in the ground that is my knowledge, or lack thereof, of the finer points of writing in English.

But of course, being Sarah, she was exceptionally polite about my horrific ignorance. Sarah can be frighteningly polite. I have no doubt she will someday be an ambassador, or work in the UN, and chill the blood with her entirely sympathetic 'That's so interesting!' I am, though, a suspicious bastard, so disregard all negative intonation in the above. I am actually fascinated by/really admire how socially adept Sarah can be. If you're bitching to her about something, despite how banal and irritating you must be, she always makes you feel like the two of you play on the same team, and the referee that is life made some rotten calls on you that have injured her well-being on your behalf.

On a last note, am apparently cool enough by association to be friend-ed by the mysterious [livejournal.com profile] purple_avocado, of whom I have heard so much. Am all flattered and such. Speaking of that group of friends, need to get [livejournal.com profile] nacilmeiel a bloody birthday present, but she's being all 'no, don't, stop.' You can't fool me. 'No' means 'yes, please!' I'll just have to shoot in the dark, in light of her lack of suggestions, and hope I can pick something she likes.

...Now that I think about it, that sounds astoundingly not hard.

In other news, inspired by a post of [livejournal.com profile] purple_avocado, I have come to believe that Rampaging Uterus is the best unrealized ska band name ever. When I think of an angry uterus, I think of trombones. In joins the also unrealized indie rock band name Wawas Afire (or Aflame, I really can't decide) in the annals of Great Non-Moments in Music.

Gas station names inspire a peculiar level of amusement/lip-curling disgust. WaWas on the East Coast, Kum-and-Go in the Midwest, Piggy Wiggly in the South. I sense a trend here.

Lo, I said unto my lj, be not so ass-ugly!

And there upon the screen came a tolerable color scheme. And it was good.

Btw, anyone know how to obtain the Component or Boxer layouts? They show up on preview, but not on the scrolling menu option thingie as actual options. They're deff. the prettiest, classiest options. I wonder why you can't build your own and upload it? Or can you? V. strange.

...is this text too light? I think this text is too light. Damnit!
