x_losSo here's why work was foul tonight, culled from an AIM b/c I'm too disgusted to type it twice: OH MY SODDING CHRIST: I ACTUALLY GOT 'BUT OBAMA'S BLACK' TONIGHT. FOR REAL REAL. From DEMOCRATS. Hillary Supporters. Just--just SAID like it was a rational thing to SAY. Like it was 1956 or something! And I don't think they were joking at all! I had nooooo fucking idea what to say that wasn't "I can see your address on this screen. You live what, 2 hrs away? I'm coming to punch you. Be ready. 2 Hours, bitch." (note: I did not say that. I DID say "/Really?/" Incredulously, and they were like, actually assuring me "Oh yeah" and I was like "...I'm a little grossed out now. Goodnight."--granted, not what I should have done, not PC enough, but gaaaawd.)
The other day I got 'Barack is the vanguard of the Islam (error preserved from original) conspiracy to take over this country, and if you can't see that, you're BLIND. OPEN YOUR EYES!'
I was like "He's been attending the same Christian Baptist church for 20some years. If he's Islamic, he doesn't know that?" And then he went on and I had to hang up b/c I was laughing too hard to be polite.
Possible better responses in future: "No no, Obama's only HALF Black. Yeah. Is that better? And you're only half a dumbfuck."
"No, see, Obama's an Oreo, sir. His skin may be black, but his soul is white as snow. And his Ivy League education in some ways entitles him to more of the traditional prerogatives of white privilege than you're privy to, sir. In fact, Obama's whiter than you. Yeah. Think deep on that one. Then go lynch yourself."
"He IS?! OH MY GOD!! I--I *begin to cry, jaggedly, moaning 'no, noooo,' hang up*"
