Lex is SO MUCH FUN. Persistent, funny, kinda jealous of Lana. Spent minutes mocking his apple nomnoming and then dropping.  Does the apple taste of meteor and regret? Is he just cool enough to drop that apple, though it is delicious? Is it fantastic, just like all the apples Lex's father buys, and thus can mean nothing to him?

Everything Clark's dad says sounds either like a George Michael song or the 'Do you ever get that Not So Fresh Feeling?' commercials.

I am having a hard time getting his MO. He just wants to shtup Clark (wait... Yiddish words might be weird for a German speaker, I have no idea whether that means the same thing in German as it idiomatically means in English-- too late to delete, have typed explanation. Um. Pretend I just said do?). This is obviously true. Why does he bother trying to get him with Lana? Does he want Clark to get over his hetero crush? Does he have really low self-esteem? *is boggled by something all of your fandom probably already has theories on*

I think shtup probably comes from "stupsen", which means "to nudge"... would make sense? I understand a few Yiddish words commonly used in American English though, esp. in context.

As to the Clark/Lex/Lana thing... personally I believe Lex wanted to get them together so Clark would realize that the Lana he loves is not who Lana really is and thus get over the silly crush (and of course Clark would be so heart-broken, yet so grateful...). But Clark remains persistently blind to Lana's personality (which imho is way more awesome once she starts hitting people with shovels and killing her own clones. Lex must have seen that coming.)
