"Across the Universe" begins in the early 60s, whereas rationing ended in 1954 (bananas being, oddly enough, the last restricted item). So: rationing lasted for fucking ever (since 1940- bacon, butter, sugar), but not as long as I'd thought. So Liverpool looks lame for no reason, because the sharp economic decline that ruined its docking industry didn't come until the mid 70s.

Also Sarah Jane was a companion from '73 to '76, so when Rose makes a joke about her coming along when they'd only just ended rationing in "School Reunion," Rose is just being a bitch. But as much as I like Sarah Jane, that's funny. Sarah can cry into her wool sweater sets about it.

Don't you dare diss Sarah Jane, woman. >XP She is very kickass with her stylish 70s clothes and cute hair, even though she does have a tendency to be kidnapped by aliens and befriend extremely confused evil robots.

Also, I hear you are in denial about Penisface being a penisface.

Oh no, I HEART Sarah, despite the tendency she shares with Rose to befriend things even when that idea kinda sucks. I even like her sweaters. But that's still some decent shit talking, and alack, Sarah Jane turns out to be a Hollaback Girl.

Not in denial any more, sadly. I saw that pic... euuuugh. Why did Kelley even HAVE that pic?

Oh. We.... may have sort of.... drawn it.

(I blame [livejournal.com profile] _pixiestyx. She did the lineart. I merely colored everything shittily.)
