REN FEST SATURDAY
Aug. 29th, 2006 01:42 amFirst of all, everyone who wants to come, the Ren Faireing in Des Moines will be Saturday! It's also available Sunday and Monday, but I have meetings and can't go then, so if you want to hop on my free gas gravy train, this is it! I have clothes you can borrow, just let a woman know.
Also some of you may remember me becomming an immortal bitch (Highlander?) about the D'Agata essay of doooooooom (due tomorrow.). And how it was lost forever and my life was officially over. Well, ze document, she is recovered! John's essay is edited/complete, the 13 copies made, my smug look firmly in place. What now, fools? Who dares stand against the combined might of Currier Computer Lab and Iowa Avenue?
The DI thing is a little less awkward, Jenna and I Had A Talk about deadlines, pipelines, skylines and linernotes, basically amounting to me saying I wouldn't screw her over as far as that went and her giving me a photographer and the Front for the next 80 Hours. Probably. Possibly. W007. Shamefully, Wednesday's piece is the worst I've ever turned in and I know it. Le sigh, le suck.
Speaking of le suck, I already know History Colloquium is a one way trip to lame land. I feel this in my bones. The teacher gives me the bad vibe, the classmates are dumbasses of the highest order. It bodes ill.
I handed over Corey's latest CD, lovingly hand assembled (hands in question being mine) to the DI for review. I feel like it's my baby's head on the chopping block too. I hope they like emolectronica? Hey, it sucks less than Deathships can be official catchphrase.
Corey has a show tomorrow night, and I have a Project Runway party. Serious conflict of interests here if I can't go to both. For reals. Speaking of that boy, he is now down with Jenna rather than being vague and wierd about her. I like it when my friends like each other, it makes my social life about ten zillion times eassier.
And I'm thinking about reconsidering a guy I brushed off heinously last year. Meh. Go figure. Maybe its the guns?

Date: 2006-08-29 03:35 pm (UTC)Me: Did you watch the Highlander?
Will: *eyes slide away* Yes.
Me: *eyes slide opposite direction* Me, too.
Will: *somewhat guiltily* I thought the show was better than the movies.
Me: *clearing throat* I did, too. The show had a lot more plot development. Well! Look! A giant spider is on the next one!
