I'm so not listening to a Kylie Minogue song, so you can get that thought right out of your head. I just can't get you out of my head,/Boy it's more than I dare to dream about.

Decemberists are April 6 at the Mill for 12$. Happy. Who am I going with again? Don't recall. Sure I was- was it Alyssa, Jew Ben, and Annie?

Woke up yesterday, turned on tv and discovered someone being adressed as Cassius. "It would be really cool," thought I, "If this was Shakespeare's Julius Ceaser, which you've been wanting to see, in this kind of passive agressive 'can't be arsed to rent it' way, forever." After a few lines of dialogue, I was almost certain it was, so I flipped open my massive unabridged Tome o' Riverside Shakespeare (like you do... when you happen to be a colossal nerd) and followed along. I had a couple hours before class and I'd woken up in time for the death of Ceasar. I had to hit the showers, and by the time I got back I'd missed Marc Antony's funeral oration. Though I haven't read the play, I read the Riverside's critical introduction last summer (I was really bored stuck in Iowa City alone with Bao the Unendurable and Statistics homework- in a moment of desperation, I also read Rand. And I'm sorry.). The funeral oration is supposed to be the best part. I was a mite pissed. I suppose I see it someday. Proceeded to have a really good day, though.

I should buy tickets to the good Riverside Shake. productions they do in Iowa City during the summer- I'm here taking classes anyway, and the earlier I buy the cheaper and better the seats. Still, committing to buying tickets for one? Somewhat sad.

I think I did alright on my German test today.

I think I may really like A Perfect Circle, which surprises me.

Theories of Lit Crit: Selfhood is my hardest, but also my best class.

Whitey's Black Walnut icecream is really really good, but tastes a bit like peppermint.

There is a kind of little bird here that they don't have back home. It's about the size of the palm of my hand, near round, and so plush it looks almost squishy. It's a sort of tree-brown, but with elegant, semicircular butterscotch-colored fringed tips. I like them a lot. They have very bright little eyes, too.

Hopefully going to go see Kelley tomorrow (and her little brother Andrew, who I love muchly)- she sounds like she's having a bit of a rough time of it, and I want to see her anyways.
