If anyone knows where I can download the stuff to make avi files mp4s compatible with video ipod play, NOW IS MY HOUR OF NEED. I tried dragging things to itunes and using the advanced menu to convert selection for ipod, but nooooo, itunes won't even recognize the avi format, like avi is its mom and avi just showed up to pick itunes up from junior high wearing a mumu while driving a Fiesta.

I don't want to pay for Quick Time Pro. I'm cheap and I resent to stupid of paying 30$ for a program to perform one unbelievably banal function. Does anyone know how to do this?
