Reminds me of the German translation of MDZS. They’re working independently from the English version, so at least there's that. It’s very obvious that it’s a translation, the flow isn’t great at times though it got better as the book progressed (or I got used to it…), but what’s really annoying at times is that they don’t make effort to watch speech patterns and the like. The first time we meet Lan Xichen it was incredibly jarring because he speaks in such a colloquial way. I guess, if one is unfamiliar with the story, it won’t matter, but I’d also assume that one customer group you’d definitely want to catch is the fans of this whole canon! *sigh*
